IRON & EARTH EQUIPMENT GUIDE

Planning a site for robotic mowing

Look beyond lawn area: access, working windows and daily oversight matter too.

Divide the ground into working zones

Mark lawns, slopes, paths and sensitive areas on a site plan. Identify where people and vehicles cross the proposed operating area and consider when each zone could be maintained.

Assess access and positioning

Walk the routes between zones and the proposed charging location. Trees, buildings and changes in level can affect a proposed setup. Ask for the positioning and obstacle-detection requirements of the particular model.

Plan the maintenance routine

Decide who checks the machine, responds to alerts and manages changes to the site. Consider blade care, cleaning, seasonal storage and how mowing fits around other grounds work.

Verify the actual proposal

Ask for a site-specific recommendation and a configuration-specific datasheet. Treat capacity figures as a starting point for discussion, then evaluate them against your conditions and available mowing hours.
